Jussi Häkkinen
Use your imagination. Take any durble bag. Fill it with rugs, superlon, whatever you'd feel suitable. Hang it to roof or anything similar. Go on, punch and kick. Musse
I could use a punching bag aswell. Too bad there isn't any room for it. I do have a room for a wall mounted makiwara, but everybody's saying that they're bad for the joints. Does anybody know where they sell http://www.karategi-hirota.co.jp/img/9_07.jpg that type of makiwara's ? All I can find is the bad-for-the-joint-one's. - Musse "Be careful: The toes you step on today may be connected to the * you'll be kissing tomorrow"

Musse
I live in England so a store in California doesn't really do me any good - Musse "Be careful: The toes you step on today may be connected to the * you'll be kissing tomorrow"
scottnshelly
I haven't been around a makiwara since i was about 8 at a 'Chang Hon Tae Kwon Do' class. it was just posted on a brick wall. i've never heard that it was supposed to give way to a punch. i always just thought of it as a conditioning tool. i know it felt bad, but the 'instructor' there required everyone to punch it so many times before class, even the children. am i the only one that was ignorant on this topic?
