I know, eh Jiggy? I watched this one in summer that started at 8 pm and ended after 12. No wonder most of those movies have intermissions and stuff.

I have been thinking of reading the book for some time now, actually. The problem is that it is sooooooo boring at the start, and when ever I try to read it, I end up falling asleep! Watching the movie has rekindled my wanting to read the book tho..

the problem with reading the book is it's probably long which would take longer the one night or even day to read inless you could read really fast but what are the chances of that?? well I know If I waited till the movie was out to reant I probably would see the movie before I finish the book

The best books are not speed reading contests. The best books you stop reading and just sit and see in your mind what you have been reading. The Lord of the RIngs is on of these books. It should not be read as a speed read. It should be read slowly and savored.

Maybe as an introduction The Hobbit should be read first. That might take some of the boredom out of the beginning of the book because then you know what is going on.

Yep, I have not read the Lord of the rings trilogy but I definitely have read the Hobbit. Its a great book, and its not nearly as long either so you won't be put off by reading it.

I saw Lord of the Rings. It was great but the ending was disapointing. I was reading the book but after seeing the movie I am sorry to say that I am stopping the book. The movie was jsut more exciting. :karate:

well I guess some books are meant for reading slowly cause are sort of boring but others are more exiciting so the more you read on the better it gets and those books are for that reason

But I guess i should check at the library and see if either one of those books are in so I could read them

It takes sacrifice to be the best.

There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.
