Mine is Meikyo (even though its not a wado-ryu kata)

hmm, the Niseishi kata (Chito-Ryu) for its open hand techniques and applications (bunkai)..

I always liked Pidan Godan. Dunno why really! hehe

 

I also like Jiin and Niseishi.

 

But my fave has probably got to be Neipapo. And the funny thing is - that isn't even a shukokai kata! Oh Well.

 

Has anyone done any TaeKwon Do as well as karate? And did you find the patterns boring?

Not surprisingly, as it's the form for my rank, these days it has been Jindo/Chinto/Gankaku

I have, although it was not your regular ITF/WTF style. I found the forms of Sohng Ahm TKD to be "technically" more challenging than most of other Japanese/Okinawan Kata (& TSD Hyungs) I'd previously learned...

 

However as with all things (i.e. large MA organizations) I could have done without all of the politics of the ATA - but that's a different thread entirely...
