Sometimes more harm than good can happen So now we are getting into different levels of McDojos? I suppose it's a loaded question since the definition of McDojo seems to be pretty subjective. Student: "Why did you hit that guy with a chair? Why didn't you use your karate?"Master: "Hitting him with a chair was the only karate I could think of at the time."Lesson: Practice until you don't have to think.

Ask him if the sparring is point/hit or if it's continuous. That is the DIFFERENCE Yeah but some dojos call is 1 touch KO, when in reality they mean a blow, not a poke with the finger. (Which is more "1 touch irritation technique).
