47MartialMan Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 As far as I know both India and Egypt are still considered East. KFM Yeah, but I was making a point that China is not necessarily the "oldest"
47MartialMan Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 and chinese history goes back quite far. the first hereditary dynasty was about 4000 years ago. before that the neolithic age of ancient china was still pretty advanced having fired pottery, woven cloths and domesticated animals. i think it's more true to say that eygpt and china had organised armies/fighting forces at pretty much the same time. As far as India and Egypt?
Drunken Monkey Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 pretty far. the neolithic age is from about 12,000 bc (to about 2000 bc) i think. but as i said they were still quite organised/advanced. i mean, the production of silk was developed way before this time. and well, northern china is considered one of the origins of man (if that means anything) post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
47MartialMan Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 As far as India and Egypt? Are we talking about the actual emergence of man, or the energence of a detailed scoial culture and a "systemized" method(s), of fighting?
Drunken Monkey Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 a bit of both. it's one of the earliest locations where man appeared and like i said, during the neolithic age a social structure was pretty much set already. it's pretty much the same 'family'/village organisation that we have now with an elected head who may or may not be part of the family. as for fighting, i have no idea. the history books don't really dwell on that too much. but when did egypt and india have an organised army? post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
47MartialMan Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Have you studied, in detail, the history and culture on India and Egypt? I mean REALLY, dig into it. Don't misconsrtue as looking for "actual detail" on the methods. When I used the term- "Systemized Method", per (systematic-methodical) meaning more than one (dozens-hundreds-thousands) person learning/practcing the same thing. Maeaning a army or large tribe. And, I am not talking about the "actual" emergence of man, (which some athroplogists will disagree and debate)
Drunken Monkey Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Have you studied, in detail, the history and culture on India and Egypt? that's why i asked you cos you seem to know. and i'm not talking about emergance of man. it's just one one of the earliest examples of man was found in northern china. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
47MartialMan Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 I do not want to take up post space for a India-Egypt history lesson. If you have time-lots of it is nedded, then start looking up India-Egypt history. Everything is not "Chinese". (China has much to trace back to India-even words-etymology) Yes, I give China "credit" for a lot. One day, I will go there, see and learn more.
Drunken Monkey Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Everything is not "Chinese". where did this come from? i.e who said that everything was? and my original question was when did egypt/india have an organised army/fighting force? post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
47MartialMan Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Everything is not "Chinese". Read the rest behind it. and my original question was when did egypt/india have an organised army/fighting force? My answer- I do not want to take up post space for a India-Egypt history lesson-perform some concise and detail research on your own.
