wrestlingkaratechamp Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 parkerlineage Nice story. You and I know what its like to be the skinny kids. I'm 5 foot 8 148 pounds. I'm in 11th.
gcav Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Its not the size of the man in the fight, but the size of the fight in the man. Train like your life depends on it....Because it does.
parkerlineage Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 I'm 5 foot 8 148 pounds. I'm in 11th. I'm in 11th grade, too. But, as I said, I finally hit puberty. 6 foot 5 and 180 pounds. Still skinny, but it's all muscle.Glow worm...need I say more? What the ****? American Kenpo Karate- First Degree Black Belt"He who hesitates, meditates in a horizontal position."Ed Parker
gcav Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Glow worm...need I say more? What the ****? There was a thread like this one not too long ago and I wrote about being attacked with a glow worm (a kid's toy). Train like your life depends on it....Because it does.
Master Jules Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 The stories I can tell....LOL....EVERY weekend....you know what happens....add alcohol...you get an instant a$$hole.....the night I earned the nickname "The Sandman" I knocked out a guy 6'9" 350 lbs in 6 seconds....my fellow bouncers made me a special staff shirt that says "Sandman"..."go to sleep" on the back. We were trying to get a guy to leave the bar at about 415am....he refused to let go of the rest of his beer...when my partner tried to walk him out, he spun and went at it with him....I was walking his friend out, he saw this....thought he had a good shot at me, and spun around to attack me.....wrong move...lol....I hit him with a fingertip strike to the solar plexus, buckled him, spun him around, and choked him out in 6 seconds flat.....I did a blood and air choke at the same time.......oh well.....by bouncer standards Im not a big guy....6'1" 205.......lesson learned....dont judge a book by its cover....LOL Other stories include a full out melee where all 30 of our bouncers from all 3 adjoining bars went at it in the street....traffic was stopped for a while....it was about 30 on 30 or so......patrons were pressed up against the windows watching.....they told me it was like watching a bruce lee or steven segal movie.....everyone that came within my "area" got severly crumpled, thrown, or just knocked out....plain and simple....btw.....I NEVER attack.....I always defend.....but I may defend with extreme predjudice if Im attacked from behind. ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
Beiner Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Tall 30 of our bouncers from all 3 adjoining bars went at it in the street.....Why?
Master Jules Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 The main bar is a rather large one, and when the melee spilled out into the street, all the bouncers got involved....not against each other....we were all on the same side.....it happened to be a very large group of one particular ethnic group that likes to brawl in large numbers....seems they cant be men enough to go at it one on one......thats the bar business.....what can you do ?...LOL ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
gcav Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Those large fights sure can become confusing. I responded to a gang fight one night around midnight. When all was said and done, we counted 105 gang members in the fight. By the time everyone stopped sending us help, we had officers from our department, 2 other city departments, the Sheriff's Office and CHP on scene. Everybody wanted to help .lol. We took knives, lead pipes, baseball bats, chains and a sundry of other weapons off the bad guys. Luckily there was no gun play in this one. Train like your life depends on it....Because it does.
Master Jules Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 VEST.......dont leave home without one ! ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
