foreveryoung001 Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 New to this forum. I've been placed in a unique position to have an opportunity to open up a TKD school in my little town, to help a non-profit arts academy. having gone a while without formally instructing anyone, I thought I would swing by the local forum and get to know some new people, and perhaps pick up a new idea or two...or three... or four.... Student: "Why did you hit that guy with a chair? Why didn't you use your karate?"Master: "Hitting him with a chair was the only karate I could think of at the time."Lesson: Practice until you don't have to think.

Rotten Head Fok Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Hello, Welcome to KF! You must be stable and balanced in your foot work, if you have to use your martial knowledge in combat, your intent should be to win. If you do strike, you must release great power! The martial arts are easy to learn, but difficult to correct.
Red J Posted October 3, 2004 Posted October 3, 2004 Welcome and good luck. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
