Oopgrub Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 A kid punched me in the eye, so i justclosed my eyes and swung as hard as I could, I hit him right in the nose, he flew backwards and hit his head on a telephone pole, didnt have much fight left in him. then one on the bus a kid jumped on me choking me, i pushed him up and off, punched him and he just got into the fetal position and i had a field day with him Ju JitsuKenpoPressure Point FightingCapoeira
searcher Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 I hurt someone's feelings once. Does that count? It was in the middle of the street. "let those who shed blood with me be forever known as my brother."
Luckykboxer Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 I just came to a scary realization. Am I in a forum completely dominated by school kids? Because I dont really consider fights that happen at schools real fights. Are there any adults left in these forums? Besides the 3 or 4 I am familiar with?
searcher Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 31 going on 12. "let those who shed blood with me be forever known as my brother."
scottnshelly Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 I just came to a scary realization. Am I in a forum completely dominated by school kids? Because I dont really consider fights that happen at schools real fights. Are there any adults left in these forums? Besides the 3 or 4 I am familiar with? I've been thinking that for a couple days myself. All these run-ons and what nots. Maybe we should start a thread for adults only...
searcher Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 On a more serious note, the last time I got into a "street fight" I ended up with a broken nose and some broken ribs. I can't say I really ever want to go through that again. So my way of dealing with street violence is to avoid at all cost. Now to address the youth issue. Let the poor kids be. They will have plenty of time to experience violence when they gorw up, so if they want to vent about playground scuffles then let them. The Saint Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 I was in a street fight once, it happened outside a bar after closing. It was long before I had started training in MA. My buddies and I were waiting in my car and a drunken idiot came over to us looking for a fight. I was driving and had nothing to drink we just ignored him at first. The guy went back to his car and got a wooden stick after a few words. He started to hit my car with the stick, thats when I stepped out. He swung the stick and it bounced off my forearm and on to the ground. A couple of punches were trown and it ended up on the ground in the middle of a 4 lane street. I outwieghed him by at least 40 lbs, so i ended up on top of him swinging and punching. I was all set for the KO boom and my buddy grabbed me because the cops were just showing up and one of his buddies was pulling him out too. It probablly wasn't the brightest moment in my life, and I'm glad that nobody was seriously hurt. It's safe to say that I am retired 1-0 as a street fighter. I have saw my best friends brother, KO someone out in a parking lot of a bar once. It was the shortest fight I had ever saw. The guy came running in and took a reverse punch to the jaw. (my buddies brother does karate and teaches BJJ) I think the impact of his head hitting the ground after the intial punch did it, but it was one heck of a punch.[/b] "Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to go to his class." Gilbert Posted January 11, 2005 Author Posted January 11, 2005 Im just an average guy who loves martial arts and always give it my 100% Even the most powerful human being has a limited sphere of strength. Draw him outside of that sphere and into your own, and his strength will dissipate.
Straight Blast Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 It's safe to say that I am retired 1-0 as a street fighter.[/b]You seem to be proud of that.
