i gotta' say, pick up lines aren't half as ineffectual as everyone says they are. the single coolest girl i ever got the pleasure of dating showed interest in me after my personal favorite "hey there... y'know, i may not be the best looking guy in here, but i'm in the only one talking to you :brow: "... note the " :brow: ", because it's all in the delivery... aside from that, i know it's cliche, but be yourself, because if it gets serious, than you have to go back... and that's if they don't spot it to begin with. keep the focus on her. it's a good topic, cuz if you're interested, it's good to beef up on the material for the up coming test (PAY ATTENTION TO DETAILS!), and she can talk about herself for hours if you ever come to one of those awkward pauses...

Ahh, thanks for reminding me Bat. Humor. Be able to laugh, joke, and generally be willing to have a good time. One of the things i've heard so many times, is that women like funny guys. Not clowns (Jerry Lewis), not attention-hogs (Jim Carrey), but genuinely funny guys (Mel Gibson).

I find it easy to get girls. Just sneak up behind them, throw a blanket over their head, and grap 'em.

OK then WW, replace honesty for sincerity/being genuine/anything that means being yourself! Thats what I meant, just a bad choice of words. I realise honesty may not be the best policy in some situations, but once you're in a long term relationship it helps if you know how the other person feels. I'd hate it if my fiance said things just to 'keep me happy' and I'm sure he'd be the same if I did it to him. But thats just us, everyones different!

As for funny guys - yeah, make us laugh! But it doesn't always mean funny guys are attractive. I think Peter Kay and Ross Noble are hilarious, but fancy them? Euww!

haha yeah, getting a girl. Well i like this girl at school, she's real nice and she is beautiful. So what i tried to do was get to know her, i spent the classes i had with her sitting next to her and just talking about whatever came up. And the more i talked to her the more i liked her. So i told a close friend of mine (who is a girl) that i liked this chick. So she was in a class with her and told me that she was asking the chick i liked if she would go out with people, you know girl talk. And she threw my name in and the chick i liked replied with "hes a great bloke, but we are friends and i dont want to ruin that"

So what advice do you have on that, i really like her i havent told her but im pretty sure she knows, all my friends thought she liked me, but after that i dont know if i want to ask her because yeah.. you get it

mmm she is great and i think about her heaps, i really do want to go out with her. isent what i want not ruining our friend ship, but taking it further?
