I have never actually seen a chizikunbo, only in books.

They are basically knuckle dusters, but are held on the inside of your hand

Oh wait....I think they can be held on either the outside or inside.....oh I dont know.....I just know they're about 4'' long

Hope this helps

Oh Jiggy, I do recommend getting a book called "techniques of self-defense Stick Fighting" by Masaaki hatsumi and Quintin Chambers.

The book is all based on self-defense using different sizes of sticks.

Hope this helps (I like that saying)

Yes Moobrak, they looked interesting. Like a wooden stick with a rope inserted at 2 points through the middle of the stick forming a loop handle.

I couldn't see anything about how long they were, thanks for that bit of info Tobias.

There is also a book by Takayuki Kubota on the kubotan - the self defense key chain stick.

It is based on the yawara a stick held in the hand to be used as a weapon just long enough to have ends sticking out of both ends of the fist.

I found a list of katas for the nuntibo on a search through a bunch of web sites.

Matayoshi No Nuntibo

Uhugushiku No Nuntibo

Tsuken No Nuntibo

No details just a list.

I had heard of the kata Matayoshi-no-nunti. It was made by Matayoshi Sensei, the ex-head of my style

Tsuken is an island somewhere near okinawa. There is a bo kata called Tsuken-no-kon. I think they may be the same kata, as some nunti kata are just bo kata.
