Tobias_Reece Posted December 23, 2001 Posted December 23, 2001 Has anyone heard of this weapon, or even better used it? I know its basically a bo with a manji-sai stuck on the end, but I have found out that they are very hard to buy (well, u have to pay ridiculous amounts for handmade ones!!!) My examiner asked me through the net if I would like to learn a few moves, well... I jumped at the chance, considering its a very rare weapons. Now I'll just get bak to chatting with my girlfriend.... C ya "You Are Never Given A Dream Without Also Being Given The Power To Make It True. SaiFightsMS Posted December 23, 2001 Posted December 23, 2001 Sounds pretty cool Tobias. I would jump at the chance.
Tobias_Reece Posted December 24, 2001 Author Posted December 24, 2001 Yeah, I am jumping at the chance!!! My dad popped into the local MA shop and the guy there had never heard of a Nunti-bo. Must be pretty rare if he'd never heard of them!!! C ya "You Are Never Given A Dream Without Also Being Given The Power To Make It True. SaiFightsMS Posted December 24, 2001 Posted December 24, 2001 I did a search and really only found one nunti bo. It was at http://www.wwmas.com Made by Shureido of red oak overall length=81",Bo=67",nunti length+14",weight 3 1/2 lbs. In natural it was like $194.95 with an extra $20 added to the shipping charge. Maybe your instructor will know where to get one?
Tobias_Reece Posted December 25, 2001 Author Posted December 25, 2001 I found some nunti-bo, and found that the price is generally around £150. Yeah, my kobudo instructor will probably know "You Are Never Given A Dream Without Also Being Given The Power To Make It True. SaiFightsMS Posted December 25, 2001 Posted December 25, 2001 It seems weapons made by Shureido are generally well thought of and expensive. I have seen a few who pride themselves on having shureido gear in a way that is kind of snob appeal. I have seen people recommend shureido weapons in other sites.
SaiFightsMS Posted December 25, 2001 Posted December 25, 2001 I went into the website you recommended Ronryu and had a good look at some lovely weapons. I would like to have one of those gravity sai stands. I saw an interesting looking weapon - the chizikunbo. Anyone know anything about it?
moobrack Posted December 26, 2001 Posted December 26, 2001 I have never heard of it being new to the weapons side of things, can you give us a brief description of what it looks like please SaifightsMS?
