47MartialMan Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 but seriously relies on you having exceptional base skills. it's not something you learn from the word go. unless of course you want to do wushu. Yeah, it can become complicated for people whom have no agility to start off with.
LiTtLeDrAgOn Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Do u have to be Drunk in order to perform "Drunken Boxing?" Cause I dont drink at all but I love the Art and Im currently studying it. Thank you! A wise man once said..."Courage is not the abstinence of fear. It is what is done when the emotion of fear is present....That is courage my friend" -Jordan Galendiez
47MartialMan Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 And from whom are you studying it from?
LiTtLeDrAgOn Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 I live in "A very, very small town" there really arent any good teacher's here, but I get on here and on Internet and look up information about it and my friend know's some. I READ about it alot and my friends have told me u dont have to be drunk but I figured I'd ask a professional....(Like someone on here) My teacher has taught me a few techniques but I was wondering to be able 2 use it effectivley with power...Would u need 2 be drunk? Thanks! A wise man once said..."Courage is not the abstinence of fear. It is what is done when the emotion of fear is present....That is courage my friend" -Jordan Galendiez
47MartialMan Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Well, books, videos, and the "almighty" internet is not going to teach you properly. To me, Drunken Boxing, is so eccentric, that it will be a waste of time doing it in comparison to the same time used in studying something else. Which does not mean that it isn't effective, but finding a instructor with this is going to be much harder than finding other instructors/martial arts. Find a decent instructor in the next town or county and practice. Extirpate the "idea" of "Drunken Style". Focus on what is available, practical, and use the guidance of said instructor.
LiTtLeDrAgOn Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Thank you......Yea, I really just like the movement and style of the Art. I'd just want to learn it...Basically to learn it. Im open to learning anything and everything I can that has to do with Martial Arts. I still would like to know if anyone know's if u have to be drunk in order to make this style effective.....Thanks!!! A wise man once said..."Courage is not the abstinence of fear.
