Gilbert
Ki is internal energy. it provides power in the attack. ok ill show you how ki is used. get a partner....put one arm out straight and tell your partner to bend your arm. first, use strength and tell him to bend it. this is the first test ok now for the second test which we now use ki instead of full force and strength ok now relax your arm, and in your mind say....he is not going to bend it. keep the arm still. using a little drop of force. well now do you understand ki? ask him in which one of the two was harder to bend. Even the most powerful human being has a limited sphere of strength. Draw him outside of that sphere and into your own, and his strength will dissipate. Sasori_Te
Can I try and bend your arm any way that I want or do I have to do it a specific way? A block is a strike is a lock is a throw.

Gilbert
you can try to bend it in any way..... its all in the mind and ki. another way to practice ki get a partner...... kneel down with both knees on the floor(like in aikido when opening the class). then tell your partner who is standing in front of you to grab your shoulders and push you back slowly and with force. you'll fall easy. now...do it again, but this time when he places his hand on your shoulders grab lightly his elbows and use ki....ask him to push you back...he is having a hard time right. Why? becuase you are simply connecting energy with him. if your doing it correctly, now do this...stand up even if he is pushing and walk towards him...he is problaby losing balance and getting tired from the force to push he is using while you are just relaxing and at the same time was able to simply stand up and now controled him. nothing supernatural or anything like that? it is just ki. anymore question on ki or more excersices please ask. Gilbert
...and how can we use Ki, practically? in a fight you wont have to use much force if u use ki. you wont get winded and you will always have control of the opponent. you will maintain yourself calm, relaxed, and if he grabs you, you will apply a technique using ki, same goes with the strikes...use his energy to apply the technique. the more forceful he comes the less force you use. always be ready when fighting but relaxed also. not tense or so ready that your getting nervous. just go with the flow. and if he strikes use the neccessary technique or counter attack you need. dont over do it. by doing so many things or you'll get knocked down. Remember learn the technique but have no technique. Bruce lee didnt say this just to say it.....think about it. questions?feel more than free Even the most powerful human being has a limited sphere of strength. Thaegen
grab lightly his elbows and use ki....ask him to push you back...he is having a hard time right. No that is not KI, you are just redirecting his force, when you push his elbows. I can do something like that standing on 1 leg and one person grabs my shoulders and I grab his elbows and he can't push me back.. why because you redirect his strength.. It has nothing to do with Ki. Everybody can do this. Ki doesn't excist. If you want to be good, you train if you want to be really good you train harder. That's it.. that's the secret.. not some nonsense of KI, but anyway if you want to believe Ki excist.. it's your thing..

Gilbert
ok this one is for mr. thaegen. with your hand. form an O like if your saying ok with your hand . now position the hand like if your saying ok to the floor. now tell your partner to put 2 fingers of each hand inside through your index finger and thumb finger. use strength and tell him to open your fingers. now relax and a little drop of force send ki to your hand and tell him to do the same thing. in your mind think(he is not going to open my fingers). ask him which was harder.
