Jack Posted December 23, 2001 Posted December 23, 2001 Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew of any fictional books which feature a lot of martial arts? Something reasnobly realistic, not set in the 24th century fighting Alien drug smugglers or anything, I would just like some fictional writing about a martial artist JackCurrently 'off' from formal MA trainingKarateForums.com
dreamer38f Posted December 23, 2001 Posted December 23, 2001 Jack, Try....Sensei...I am told its fiction based on fact concerning old sword warriors. I will get the author's name later for you. If you think you can't, then you must. If you must, you will.

SaiFightsMS Posted December 23, 2001 Posted December 23, 2001 There is a great book about Mushashi the great swordsman. I think it is by Ijii Yoshikawa. If you can't find that one try Taiko by the same author. Or a good choice would be to READ Lord of the Rings. You are about the age I was when I read it the first time and it is great.
moobrack Posted December 24, 2001 Posted December 24, 2001 The film of lord of the rings is awesome Anthony Bullock1st Dan Black Belt - Shotokan Karate5th Kyu Yellow Belt - Aiki-Jutsuhttps://www.universaldojo.com Coming Soon
SaiFightsMS Posted December 24, 2001 Posted December 24, 2001 Ah yes, but, The Lord of the RIngs is one classic that will allways be better when seen in the imagination while reading it. As good as the movie is you just gotta' read the book.
