battousai16 Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 well, as someone alluded too (i'm to lazy to go look at who), that's because he takes rediculously good care of himself. it's not that he just knows, he really knows his body and his limitations, and then he seems to push those. and i hear he self insures his team cuz no companies in the world will i mean, if you look at his injuries list... or about how close he came to dying in one of his movies... i wanna' say operation condor 2, might have been the first one, and a part of me wants ot say project A 2... i think it's OC2, though... the man's just amazing. "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
47MartialMan Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Yes, amazing and fortunate not to have killed himself.
battousai16 Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 "and fortunate not to have killed himself." well... y'know, that's true of all of us living folk... but i'm just being nit picky, now "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
47MartialMan Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Yeeah, I have read some of his fan mail. Most fans, want him to "take it easy" eith stunts. It is strange, that one cannot speak (almost) about Drunken Boxing without the mention of Jackie.
thaiboxerken Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Well, that movie was one of the best kung fu movies ever made. Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.
Radok Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Thaiboxerken!? You haven't posted in years! If you can't laugh at yourself, there's no point. No point in what, you might ask? there's just no point. Many people seem to take Karate to get a Black Belt, rather than getting a Black Belt to learn Karate.
Flying Tiger Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 I agree, "Drunken Master" and "The Legend of Drunken Master" are inargueably some of the best kung-fu movies ever made. The greatest clarity is profound silence.
Shane Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 MJ Where is Gilber? A True Martial Arts Instructor is more of a guide than anything, on your way to developing the warrior within yourself!!!!!
dingyuan Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Drunken boxing seems to me that it's ONLY useful when someone is really drunk, if you do it by faking you're drunk you might get your * kick by some Karate guy shown in the video clip.
