White Warlock Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 In the movie, 'Unforgiven' directed by and starring Clint Eastwood, one particular lesson was amply demonstrated. For those of you who have not seen this movie, i recommend it. It's available as a rental. In one particular scene, Little Bill Daggett, the sheriff played by Gene Hackman, lectures to W.W. Beauchamp, a pathetic looking little writer. He tells of how when your opponent is shooting at you, everything changes, and that it what matters is not how fast you can draw, but whether you can keep a level head. That the person who's aim is sure, despite being fired upon, is the one who will prevail. The spirit of these words are later presented in the last gunfight. "When you are able to take the keys from my hand, you will be ready to drive." - Shaolin DMV TestIntro
G Money Slick Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Yes that was an awesome film. I liked Dirty Harry best out of the eastwood legacy. If your enemy refuses to be humbled......you must destroy him.
gcav Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Unforgiven is a great movie. It makes you think on a variety of levels. Train like your life depends on it....Because it does.
