I just noticed at my last wing chun class, that I can achieve much more with an open mind and if I stay focused. Before I thought I knew it all and took every correction as a personal attack against me.Although I never showed that. And since I train with this new mentality I seem to do much more right and hardly get any corrections. Was something wrong with me or did I just grow up? :)

Congratulations on breaking the barrier.

Train like your life depends on it....Because it does.

You've become more gullible, having received ample brow-beating, to the point you no longer question authority. :brow:

Or... you're finally dismissing your preconceptions. ;)

Corrections arent made in a malicious way......they are for your benefit.....so you can become better, both as a person, and as a martial artist.....remember...there is no such thing as a stupid question....it shows that you recognize that you DONT know something....but want to. An instructor should know that your questions come from curiousity, and a desire to learn "why" something is done the way it is.....not to be disrespectful to him as if youre questioning his own understanding of a technique, but to better your own understanding......questions should always be rewarded with answers.
