WapCaplet
I have to admit that there are few things on internet forums that bother me more than the people who post simple one-line or one-word replies, that typcially do nothing to add to the information being discussed in that particular topic. "I agree", "Good point", "Me too", "Yup", "Totally"......to be honest, no one cares if you agree or not unless you are willing to explain why you agree or don't agree. Don't flood the forums with useless drivel just so you can increase the number of posts you have. If you don't have some more information or ideas to share, don't post. I don't care about your one liners. I want to read stuff that is interesting. My thoughts.... Wap "Fighting fighting. Same Same""But you know karate!""Someone always know more..." WapCaplet
I never said they weren't permissable. I'm not a moderator, I don't make the rules. There's nothing I can do to stop you from writing one liners. My only comment was that one-liners are a waste of my time. It's a matter of courtesy, not law. If someone writes "me too" or some nonsense like that, it would be MUCH more interesting if they added their own comments, thoughts, ideas and opinions rather than just telling us all that they agree. Big deal, you agree, great. What does that do for me? Why not add to the conversation instead? Let's not forget that there ARE many people who post constantly simply so they can increase the number of posts below their name. It's just a nuisance. I'd prefer several long written posts than a million one-liners. But that's just my opinion. Not a rule, not a law. Just my thoughts. I'm sure many people will take offence and write how their one-liners are great. Actually, I would welcome such a discussion because then maybe the one-line writers would write more than one-line. Wap My responses are not there to "do something" for you. Discussions are nice. Sometimes discussions end in arguments. Arguements can get heated. In all, I understand what you are saying, your opinion is noted.

47MartialMan
Me too. Huh, duh, let me write so more. But I am not interested in "Let's not forget that there ARE many people who post constantly simply so they can increase the number of posts below their name." Let's discuss how many people use one-liners. Then let's discuss whom DOESN'T use one liners. Finally let's discuss who had to perform a martial art defense or self defense on a ocean liner. Master Jules
Look .....were all guilty of "one liners"......Mostly, its just to point out that whomever made a previous post, you felt made a good point.....If you dont think so.....then write why.......If you agree.....does it really matter that we say "good point".....it just shows that you agree with what was said, and want to let the poster know that you do.......as far as the forum "ranking system" goes......it means nothing in regards to your skills as a martial artist.......so what do you care what belt someone is ?????? Post your opinions....short or long........posters will answer as they see fit......If short answers offend you.......write long ones......If you dont like reading short posts.....dont......If it offends you THAT much.......find another forum.......no offense....just my opinion........I hope this post was long enough for you..... ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
