Hi everybody,

I am Enrico from Italy and practise Kickboxing.

Since I am a great Benny's fan I would like to get in touch with other fans like me in order to exchange opinions, comments, sharing news, etc.

I am interested in particular to retrieve old Benny's matches on vhs/dvd (I have some of them and a huge kickboxing video collection).

Please feel free to mail me.

Bye.

Enrico

Hello Enrico,

The best i've ever seen of Benny the Jet was in a movie he did with Jackie Chan. They fought each other and it was utterly intense. A great opportunity to see Benny's high-energy approach, without all the hiccups of sport competition, and considered by many to be the best fight scene of any Jackie Chan movie.

1984 - "Jet Fighter, Part One" The movie was edited and renamed, "Meals on Wheels" for the English audience.

benny "the jet" urquidez was in another jackie chan movie called "dragons forever" in america. yuen biao is better in that movie than he is in wheeles on meals, IMO.

I saw Benny once in the video stuntmasters, this video was featuring a footage of Benny in a one of his film (don't know which one), but as all films the scenes were unreal, Benny was making flick flacks, jumps etc. which are non sense in a real fight...

So I am in doubt if is worthwhile watching Benny's films for a kickboxing passionate... (of course this is my personal feeling..)

I watched all best Benny's fights I can get so far (vs. Okao, Tagami, Tamashiro, Ohnuki, Naito, Suzuki, La Roche, Jackson, Sittibonlert), and I think he's the best KB fighter ever since (now I am trying to get some older Benny's fights such as vs. Goodsen, Kiatbandit -controversial-, and others).

If you have suggestions on the sources to contact, please tell me (the best choice would be to find a fights collector such as myself..)

Bye.

Okay, henry, but you're really missing out. his actions in the movie, Meals on Wheels, as i said, is considered by many to be the best fight scene of 'any' jackie chan movie. And it was not loaded with a bunch of silly jumpkicks or high-flying manuevers. It was mostly strikes and elbows at excruciatingly close-range.

Anyway, i have not kept up with his old competition videos, so i can't help you there.

Thank you White for your reply,

I will try to get this video somehow and let you know.

By the way the best Benny's interview I read was that one in the mikemiles.com site, do you agree? Did you see something better?

Bye.

actually WW, you've slipped a bit there. i've mostly reffered it to as the greatest fight scene ever caught on camera. and it is pretty damn good. you can find it at edaymovie.com, i think it's >$10.
