Kicks Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 (edited) To all our Florida members, Good luck making it through Hurricane Frances this week. I wish you the best and will pray for you. I live in the New Orleans and lived through Betsy, Camile, Andrew and many more. I know it's going to be very nerve-wrecking for you. My advice... GET OUT! Sincerely, Kicks Edited September 3, 2004 by Kicks when you create the world's largest trailer park, you're going to have tornadoes
HumanTyphoon Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I have some relatives who live near and in Florida, I hope everything will be alright for everyone. Yeah, as Kicks says, "Get Out!" That means no looting, no being lazy, no showing off, no weather chasing, etc. Good luck, God be with you, and take care. If you take a crooked path and have to go through a cliff. Either hope there is a bridge, or learn to fly.
krunchyfrogg Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I lost a bridesmaid to this storm (wedding is Saturday)! I don't understand her: She has a plane ticket out of there, but she'd rather stay in her house. Red J Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Thanks. We are ready. I boarded up the house and have plenty of supplies. The key is to be prepared. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
Rotten Head Fok Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 My prayers are with you also, best of luck, we all will be watching. You must be stable and balanced in your foot work, if you have to use your martial knowledge in combat, your intent should be to win. If you do strike, you must release great power! The martial arts are easy to learn, but difficult to correct.

delta1 Posted September 6, 2004 Posted September 6, 2004 I'll add my best wishes for you all! Red, Jerry Love, and any others in this storms path- I hope you, your loved ones, and your property come through this in good shape. Freedom isn't free!
Red J Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 OK, I'm back online. Thanks for the wishes. I was very grateful to walk out of my house to see my roof on Sunday morning. My area was in the eye wall for six hours between 10pm and 4am (75-100 mph winds). It was a little nerve racking. The power was out for 3 days, but many people are going on a week. I cut trees and picked up my yard for 3 days. What a mess, this place looks like a war zone. Thankfully, there was only minor structural damage and everyone is safe. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
