47MartialMan Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Oh, so the organization is nearby you?
Master Jules Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Yes, they are based in NYC. ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
47MartialMan Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 It is an interesting organization. Do they allow other martial artists to become members?
Master Jules Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 No, its stricly Goju Ryu.....the headmaster is also a Praying mantis master as well. ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
47MartialMan Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Well, how can it be strictly GoJu, if masters there have trained in other styels?
Master Jules Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 The organization is one that teaches orthodox Goju Ryu. There are practicioners there that have studied other styles, and as I said, the headmaster has been in the arts for almost over 40 years, so he has studied other systems as well. But, Chi-I-Do is really centered around Goju Ryu ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
47MartialMan Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 So, one has to have studied GoJu to become a member?
Master Jules Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 No, they accept beginners, but they train you in Goju Ryu ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
47MartialMan Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 I guess what I am trying to say, is that is it exclusive to Goju practitioners?
Master Jules Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Again MM......you can train in any style, or nothing at all.....but when you join Ch-I-Do, you get trained in Goju Ryu ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
