Good and bad of your style.

TKD.....yes....it is a great fighting system.....one of the things that Ive noticed though, is that unless the practicioner has been trained in Hapkido as well, they generally seem to be "lost" when the fight gets to the "inside".....I dont train TKD at all....but its just an observation....and if Im wrong about that.....I apologize.

I had observed the same thing.....

So, it being coupled with another produces a favorable result?

The main reason that I train HapKiDo is because I wanted to learn a MA that could be used as a MA of sport or a MA of self defense.

We work on striking (punching & kicking) and throwing, joint locks/manuevers, falling, & grappling.

I'm sure that are things that could be improved upon

From what Ive seen, and been told by friends whove been in TKD/Hapkido for 20+ years......TKD is about 70/30 feet/hands whereas Hapkido is the converse....about 70/30 hands/feet.....more "grappling techniques" such as locks and throws......this combination seems to encompass what you need to fight at "distance", as well as "the inside".
