Oooh, I don't know if there's anything in the Midland/Odessa [we prefer "Oddland" to "Midessa" I grew up in Slodetha...], but if you do find anything, PLEASE let me know. My brother is still in high-school in Odessa, and I took him to my Kenpo class this summer and he really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the only thing I've found in Odessa is the TKD stuff [Nunez] and a Tuk Sool Won [i think] place which seemed like a TKD variation with a lot of weapons [and a not-quite believable background story ]. We had a guy come into our school for one class that had gotten his Black-belt in Midland. I don't think it was a school though, just a guy teaching out of his garage, and this fellow didn't know if they were still there. He had gotten is BB years and years ago, and he hasn't been back to our class anyway. Good luck finding it though!. DT - "Failure is the opportunity to begin again, more intelligently." There is escrima and knife fighting, and bo work as well. It isnt taught generallt until later belts. I hope you find some kenpo around there! Cheers.-There are no pure styles of karate. delta1 Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 KERRY'S KENPO KARATE KKK? I've heard of them! Kiddin ya, of course. Good luck in your new class. I think you'll enjoy it. I've been through the Midland-Odesa area a few times. Stoped at the Confederate Air Force Museum. Really great! They flew a couple of their B-17's into Spokane a few years ago. Those old planes had a class and grace the newer ones will never have. I think they have a chapter over by Seattle somewhere, which means I'll never see it. I'm almost more likely to go back to M-O than Seapit! Freedom isn't free!

Red J Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 I've heard of him. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
