47MartialMan
I don't think the execution of the technique, per each person's method is account here. The topic is would you use it? I have many, many years ago.

47MartialMan
Yes, on one occasion. No on another. Two different scenarios Two different environments. Twwo different opponents.
Drunken Monkey
...i think how you do it DOES matter. if you are executing it badly, it won't work as intended. therefore, you wouldn't want to use it. if you execute it correctly, that means you have full control over what you are doing. i.e it works - you would use it. i mentioned the 'bad' spinning backfist i keep seeing. basically, the guy just spins on his heels and whips his hand around. over commited, non-balanced, non-targeted. basically, bad technique in my books. no control. it might work but i wouldn't use that spinning backfist. so, in order to answer the question, i would first like to know if we are actualy talking about the same thing. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite." 47MartialMan
I have seen some perform a particular method badly by my terms. But it did work. How can you judge what may not work for you, but works for another?
Drunken Monkey
.....which is why i like to know if we are talking about the same thing first..... once that is established, there is a reference point to what we are each talking about. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite." Vito
personally, i have no intention of doing anything spinning in any real fights. too risky, and one of my things is minimizing the risks as much as possible (which is why i wont kick all that high if at all.) however, i understand the argument because of all spinning manuevers i cant think of a safer one. even a spinning elbow puts you at a different and worse angle, and you have to be closer to hit with that one. still though, id rather just clock the guy.
