47MartialMan Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 I caught the guy in the face two days ago with a twisting instep kick that finished a one-two combo. I cant "picture" that......need more details
Ironberg Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Picture a front kick that is sent out at an angle, and kicks a target that exists slightly past your shoulder kinda like a bicycle kick. Both instep and ball of foot work on this one, but you need a truckload of hip flexibility to bull this one off. Some call it a twist kick. "An enlightened man would offer a weary traveler a bed for the night, and invite him to share a civilized conversation over a bowl of... Cocoa Puffs."
47MartialMan Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 What, may I ask, is the striking part of the foot?
Ironberg Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 The instep or ball of the foot - just like a round kick. "An enlightened man would offer a weary traveler a bed for the night, and invite him to share a civilized conversation over a bowl of... Cocoa Puffs."
47MartialMan Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 I think we have this one. We call it a "leg check"
Vito Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 honestly, i think the coolest move in any spar or fight is the one that demolishes your opponent. "If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared." -Machiavelli
Ironberg Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 I think we have this one. We call it a "leg check" I don't think leg-checks target the head. "An enlightened man would offer a weary traveler a bed for the night, and invite him to share a civilized conversation over a bowl of... Cocoa Puffs."
47MartialMan Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Although, some of the practitioners in my class can get a leg check to chest level, I haven't seen one to the head. So perhaps we are still not talking about the same kick. So, I apologize, for I seem to not be able to fully understand what you are describing, although I am very much interested.
Master Jules Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Sorry.....just gotta know.....what do you mean by the "coolest" move ??????????? ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
