Thruhiker Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Do as much damage as necessary for you to run away. Kick/punch to the solar plexus followed up with a couple more techniques. Could use a front kick to the solar plexus then move off to the side throw a couple punches at the ribs or kidneys. Another alternative is a front kick and as the person is doubled over or on the way hit them with a crescent kick or an axe kick. Maybe you would like to use your hands and follow thru with a punch or an elbow strike. If you have the flexibility you could introduce your foot to their nose/face. They should be stunned and you will have their entire body as a open target. The sky is the limit!!!
The Hammer Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Break something. Try a sidekick to the knee, all the way, bending it the wrong way. That should end the fight. The Hammer
The Hammer Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Of course, if you can talk your way out of the fight, so much the better. The Hammer
blitzcraig Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 the hammer just made two good points. My friend and I have a stratigy if one of us gets into an altercation and the other is present. we call it "team work". I just throw random kicks at the person to make them back up and be like, "what the heck is this guy doing?" and then my friend hits them in the back with a pole... #1"The road to tae kwan leep is an endless road leading into the herizon, you must fully understand its ways". #2"but i wanna wax the walls with people now" #1"come ed gruberman, your first lesson is here.....boot to the head" #2"ouch, you kicked me in the head", #1"you learn quickly ed gruberman"
47MartialMan Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 1.) Not be There in the First Place. 2.) Run faster than the other guy

HAHAHA, that's taking JKD to a new level. Instead of distracting your oponent with your hand to the face and throwing a low kick. Distract the opponent yourself while your buddy demolishes him. Bruce Lee would be proud. I'll have to make a mental note of this if I ever head down the turnpike to Bricktown and some guy starts throwing a bunch of crazy kicks at me.
47MartialMan Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 What if the friend is not around at the time?
blitzcraig Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 Then either I take care of the situation....or run like h*ll.... So are you from oklahoma bad_vibes? #1"The road to tae kwan leep is an endless road leading into the herizon, you must fully understand its ways". #2"but i wanna wax the walls with people now" #1"come ed gruberman, your first lesson is here.....boot to the head" #2"ouch, you kicked me in the head", #1"you learn quickly ed gruberman"
Master Jules Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 There is no such thing as the "best technique"......the best technique is whatever you can perform on whatever open target your opponent gives you...... If there are no open targets, try to make one with whatever defensive technique you have to use when your opponent attacks. If your not able to do that.......then you need to learn to run away quick as you can. ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
