karatekaBR86 Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 What would be the best paint/ painting method for a steel weapon? I'm curious to know what kind of paint they use for weapons like sai, etc
Kicks Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 I know that sai can have a chrome finish. As far as the steel, I'm not sure but I think it mat be similiar to guns where a blueing agent is applied. I don't think they use paint. It would chip when striking another sai or staff. when you create the world's largest trailer park, you're going to have tornadoes
CloudDragon Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 For steel you might want to go to a paintball airsmith shop that does coloring to paintball guns, I believe it is called anodizing, but not sure. Hey, how cool would a pair of black handled sai with an orange and red flame job coming out just past the forks. Ahhhhh...drool. A Black Belt is just a white belt that don't know when to quit!
ninelivesarentenough Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 everytime i've tried to paint it comes out looking horrible, i wouldn't even try but that's me.
ZR440 Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 A good anodize coating will be expensive. But it is a great, durable finish. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
