aefibird Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Sorry this is an out of topic question, but wats an MC-Dojo. What does MC stand for? McDojo - like McDonalds. Serves up whatever you want in a cheap and quick fashion. "McDojo" is the term used by a lot of Martial Artists to describe 'sell-out' martial arts clubs - the ones that "guarantee" a black belt or charge exorbitant fees and only seem interested in making money, rather than actually teaching any worthwhile martial art. OldRookie Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 I agree with CloudDragon from pg 1---contracts seem to be the way with MA's now-it is a business just like any other but just trust yourself & if you don't feel comfortable with a contract--talk with the Instructor. I had a contract that went through an out of town bank for the 1st 2 years but now, I pay directly to the Dojang. *1st Dan Oct 2004*"Progress lies not enhancing what is, but in advancing toward what will be.""It is better to deserve honors and not have them than to have them and not deserve them."
