Kinda kewl to find the site, considering I am very new at MA.

I am currently studying Tai Kwan Do, very new white belt.

I have always wanted to do this, just never had the extra income. Well, now that I am getting older, I wanted to do this before I got too old (if that is even possible).

I am from the D/FW area, in Texas, and have 3 children also studying.

Hello, Welcome to KF!

You must be stable and balanced in your foot work, if you have to use your martial knowledge in combat, your intent should be to win. If you do strike, you must release great power! The martial arts are easy to learn, but difficult to correct.

Welcome aboard!, You will never be too old to study the MA, so enjoy the journey!

A Black Belt is just a white belt that don't know when to quit!

Hello there ... maybe you'd consider correcting "Tai Kwan Do" and turning it into "Tae Kwon Do" :D (yeah I'm obnoxious again) ... or maybe there's another style (you can never know these days).

Anyway the mistake is minor given the fact you've only just began. Congratulations for chosing to enter MA world. Enjoy your training and your stay here (I'm not that evil you know  ) Take care of yourself, don't over push, ask questions when in trouble, respect and be respected. And tell us how you feel along the way :karate:
