aefibird Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 What's the weather like where you are today? Here it's sunny (now), but we had torrential rain and flooding last night and earlier in the week. sAtelitte Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 If i could make a wish it would be to push the UK a little further away from the European mainland cause we always get cought up in the same bad weather the UK attracts Anyway, it rained early in the morning, and now a bit clouded. Summer sucks here as well, only had one maybe two weeks where the sun shined with the temperature above 30C and that while i had to work https://www.shaolin.be
delta1 Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Hot. Upper 90's (in real temp, not centegrade). Sunny, but a little humid due to all the irrigation. I can deal with the heat, but I hate humidity! On the plus side, the smoke (from several range and forest fires) has pretty much cleared. Freedom isn't free!
DLopez Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Chibi, really? I didn't know Japan had such hot weather, even in Summer. That's comparable to Houston's weather right now. We've been hovering in the mid- to high 90's F (mid 30's C), but with all the humidity we have (we're close to the Gulf of Mexico), the "heat index" is up around 115 F ( 46 C). Heat Index ~= how hot it feels... similar but opposite to wind chill. I would say I wouldn't mind if a few rain showers came our way, but we are now officially in Hurricane Season, and everyone is hoping the rain stays away despite how hot it is. Hurricane parties are fun though! DeanDahn Boh Nim - Black-Brown BeltKuk Sool Won"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die tomorrow." - James Dean
Drunken Monkey Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Here it's sunny (now), but we had torrential rain and flooding last night and earlier in the week what makes it even more strange is that last week, the rain only lasted half an hour round my parts but a mere 25-30 miles away in west london, parts of the major roads were closed from flooding... it's been consistantly in the 26-30 celcius round here but it seems to dropping off a bit. ahh, the joys of london. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."

Kicks Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 I hopeing those two storms in the Gulf of Mexico continue heading east and not hit New Orleans. Other than that, it's partly cloudy, 85F / 29C but feels like 92F, humidity at 74%, and winds 7 - 11 mph. when you create the world's largest trailer park, you're going to have tornadoes

steveb Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Yesterday here it really was 114! Today only 108 so far. Only good thing is low humidity, only 26%. I love the desert Res firma, mitescere nescit
