KickChick Posted December 14, 2001 Posted December 14, 2001 According to ITF Rules and regulations ( see http://www.itf-taekwondo.com/fees.htm) : Testing Fee Schedule for Black Belt Exams Fee breakdown by percentage 1st degree $150 2nd degree $200 3rd degree $300 7th degree $700, etc. 5% to the NGB 20% to the examiner Balance to the ITF ...but each club/school is different and I must admit my 1st degree fee was more than double the one listed here.
TKD_McGee Posted December 14, 2001 Posted December 14, 2001 Damn that is a total rip off... damn ITF... My schools tests are just 40 bux for every level... we are part of the WTF.. and I think they pay 10% to WTF or something like that... Do unto others, as they done to you.
Deathcometh Posted February 22, 2002 Posted February 22, 2002 I think that by paying to go to class you've already payed enough. Plus think about all your time you use up.

Oh my, are we the only ones who think this is crazy? Balance to the ITF??? Hmmm, they arn't making any money, are they? All of our belt testings are $10.00 each up until black belt which is $100.00, but that's because you get a heavy duty school black belt uniform that usually costs around $70.00 + printing costs. What do you get for your testing fees besides a belt and a piece of paper with a bunch of signatures on it that sometimes has your own name spelt wrong on it? Wise man once said "he who has big mouth has much room for foot."
three60roundhouse Posted February 24, 2002 Posted February 24, 2002 Well, I am not there yet and probably won't be for another one or two black belt tests, but I know that at our school it costs $150, and we get an embroidered belt and a black uniform.
