angelica d
I'll be watching the MAs, the swimming events, the sailing (we're gonna win that at least! ) and some of the athletics as well. I've always wanted to go and see the olympics for real though - better they're having nicer weather in Athens than we are here at th mo... aefibird
the sailing (we're gonna win that at least! ) well yeah, at least Britain has the chance of coming back with a couple of sailing medals, even if we're not gonna get any in anything else... Actually, one of our Judo players is pretty decent and we've got the best Eventing/Horse Trials team we've had for years. So... *fingers crossed* "Was it really worth it? Kicks
I watched many of the qualifiers, but I don't know how or where to watch the MA competitions. Help please ? The USTU has posted on their website:At the Olympic Games in Athens, Nia, will be competing in the Featherweight Division, which begins competition on Friday, August, 27th. Steven will commence on Saturday, August 15, 2004. You can follow the progress of Steven and Nia on NBC television, USOC.org, and NBCOlympics.com. http://www.ustu.com/ Hmmm...August 15th is Sunday, not Saturday. You'll have to check your TV listings for when and if they air on TV. Vito
ive really become bored with the olympics. i might watch a little boxing, because its my favorite sport to watch- (except KICKboxing) but most of the stuff they have just doesnt hold my interest. guys running, people jumping, the same ol' gymnastics thing... just doesnt do it for me personally. Kyle-san
Wow, the swimming was pretty impressive tonight. I'm looking forward to the gymnastics, wrestling, boxing, and judo myself.
sAtelitte
okay, i just discovered "sailing" was an olympic event. what the hell is it exactly? http://www.athens2004.com/athens2004/page/legacy?lang=en&cid=57ca470429149f00VgnVCMServer28130b0aRCRD Plenty of information there about sailing and the olympics. I did competition sailing myself once, but i was only 11 years old then and i didn't understand a thing of the tactics used by my much older competitors. So i lost too many times, got frustrated and left the sport https://www.shaolin.be
monkeygirl
If I watch the Olympics at all, I'll watch gymnastics (mainly men's, the feats of strength are pretty impressive), Tae Kwon Do if they have decent coverage, and Wrestling. Maybe some cycling (my friends got me hooked on watching cycling this summer with this year's Tour de France) and soccer. There are quite a lot of events I enjoy, but I'm not a huge fan of the Olympics anymore. 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
