Fiona Posted August 15, 2004 Posted August 15, 2004 They Olympics are fun to watch in general, they are very inspiring I love watching the swimming it's on of my personal favorite hobbies so I really get into it ^^ Obviously martial arts and a lot of other events. I just like to watch them period really lol.
SaiFightsMS Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 I was watching a show on the local cable channel where at a dinner they had former olympic athletes with ties to the area come and speak. They told some interesting stories about the experiences they had. And not necessarily the stories about what took place on the field.

Pacificshore Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 How about a round of cheers for the 2 American women who won the gold and bronze medal in the Women's sabre competition Both outstanding matches against equally matched opponents Di'DaDeeeee!!!Mind of Mencia
Rotten Head Fok Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 Thank you Kicks You must be stable and balanced in your foot work, if you have to use your martial knowledge in combat, your intent should be to win. If you do strike, you must release great power! The martial arts are easy to learn, but difficult to correct.
ramymensa Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 Thank you all The idea is I'm quite happy because for some time things have gone wrong in Romanian sports. In football we've got some nuveau riches who forgot the fair-play thing. Lots of bought games and this led to some very low performances of our national team. It wasn't the best, but at least we were quite decent. Coruption spread it's tentacles in almost every domain and sport was a victim too. In this hard time we were almost sure our gymnstics team would have to suffer too (the girls were first 4 years ago too) and we've got quite a tradition starting from Nadia Comaneci. Fortunatelly the kids (they are only kids) worked very hard and their trainers did their stuff and stayed apart from the money making schemes. Thus we had this great moment. The boys were always behind and just couldn't get a medal till now. They broke the ice and we hope for the best. All the teams were great and I've seen some great performances. All the winners deserve our respect, as well as those who went there. It takes a great dedication and superhuman effort to compete in the game of Gods. Congratulations and deepest respect to all World Shotokan Karate
