gheinisch Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 I believe it is a very old Korean Art that changed it's name to what we know as Hapkido today which from what I hear is a very good and effective Martial Art. That's about all I know. Maybe someone else can elaborate more. "If your hand goes forth withhold your temper""If your temper goes forth withold your hand"-Gichin Funakoshi
Luckykboxer Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 You know I really wish when people post these topics that they would at least do some preliminary research and at least post something more along the lines of..... What do you all think of Yusul? I know it is a form of JuJitsu, and is somehow related to Choi and was taught by him when he returned to Korea, and is somehow related to Chois work in Taekwon do.... etc.etc..etc. At least show some form of trying to find an answer yourself /shrug as far as what i think of it? Absolutely nothing, I got the above information in 10 seconds with an internet search , so unfortunately i cant help you any further sorry
rmclain Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 "Yusul" is the Korean translation of "jujitsu." There were Koreans that studied at the Kodokan Judo HQ, such as Jin Hee Han, then returned to Korea to teach it. They called it "Yudo" - Korean translation of "Judo." R. McLain
