What are some moves in BJJ that are illegal in highschool wrestling?

That's a silly way of thinking. You asked what can't be used, you didn't ask what could be used.

wrestling and submission grappling are two entriely different sports. you could probably use some of the throws - the double leg takedown is a common interchangable technique used.

as for being on the ground.....if you are flat on your back in wrestling then you are the loser.....however not all hope is lost if you are flat on your back in grappling.

another way to look at it is what the ref cant see cant hurt, but then again most people say thats un-sportsmen like conduct, but then again you do what you gotta do to win.

In a competition, that's just dirty.

In an actual fight, that's a good way to think.

Last year was my first year in High School and I joined the wrestling team.

From what I saw, 95% of the people just go for the double leg takedown.

A lot of Judokas who were on their High School's wrestling team, usually won their fights by doing throws which either made their opponents get really hurt making them not do anything or resist when they got to the ground, so all they had to to is just pin them, or it really hurt their opponents making them not continue the match which is an automatic win.

I recommend u either take Wrestling or Judo if u want to have a better chance of being successful during the wrestling season. If u do take Judo just make sure u practice the throws during ur wrestling practice so u know how to use the throws without the Gi or during ur Judo class ask ur sensai what kind of throws are best used for the wrestling stance, since the wrestling stance is so low, its really hard to do some Judo throws.

Thats actually a question i'd like to ask my sensai too :)
