Pricyber Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 As the subject says, I am looking for a heavy weight red gi jacket that is 100% cotton. The pants are not needed. I can find it in polyester in middleweight but I've had that before and it's horrible. I've tried century (horrible) and I use a heavy weight black gi from Golden Tiger that I enjoy but they don't have a red jacket. Any help would be great! Thanks.
Luckykboxer Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 well i think you can get any of the great gis in red. just need to know what you want to spend. there are countless gis listed below. Tokaido Shureido they are expensive.. you can wiht Ki Hayashi not sure on those costs but black belts at my school have those adn they love them
Pacificshore Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 https://www.tigerclaw.com You'll find they have separates, and the heaviest gi they have is a 100% 14oz. Hayashi. They do have it in red, and it's reasonable in price. Di'DaDeeeee!!!Mind of Mencia
pressureguy Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 http://www.martialartsmart.net/kenpouniforms.html They have the 100% cotton heavyweight red tops for about $26. Also https://www.kwonusa.com has them, but they are about $50 for the whole set. pressureguy ]===[------------------------>http://www.backyardmartialarts.org]===[------------------------>
delta1 Posted November 18, 2004 Posted November 18, 2004 If all else fails, get your favorite white 100% cotton ghi and a few packets of Rit dye. Make sure you use plenty of dye, though, or it will come out pink. I wear grey ghi's, and that is what I do is either use too little black on cotton, or a lot of black on a blend. Use a dye setter as well, and wash seperately a few times (unless you like pink tones in the rest of your laundry). Freedom isn't free!

PS - I am not being sarcastic. I am really asking. pressureguy ]===[------------------------>http://www.backyardmartialarts.org]===[------------------------>
delta1 Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 Most oriental words have more than one occidentalized spelling. I've seen it spelled both ways before. Couldn't even tell you why I spell it this way. Besides, I can't spell that well in English! WHy would I worry about Japanese! Freedom isn't free!
