Yeah, I don't see an option for nunchaku either.

I don't think I have a favorite. Though I enjoy nunchaku, and I have an OK understanding of Sai.

I always return to the staff, but I don't know if that necessarily makes it my favorite. I think Musashi said something about not having a weapon preference, but that isn't really guiding my ambiguity...

I'm no longer posting here. Adios.

Tough question as I like most weapons!

I like: Nunchaku(s)

Butterfly Knifes(bamboo leaf knifes)

Chinese Broadsword(s)

Staff(8ft white wax wood)

Spear

Three sectional staff

Double axes

Steel whip(s)

Tonfa(s)

Sai(s)

Double edged sword

Double daggers

and there are always more that hopefully someday I will have at least a basic understanding.

You must be stable and balanced in your foot work, if you have to use your martial knowledge in combat, your intent should be to win. If you do strike, you must release great power! The martial arts are easy to learn, but difficult to correct.

Staff, its the most practical and useful at all ranges.

Katana. deadliest bladed weapon ever forged if not the deadliest weapon period(melee of course). u get hit once with it u go down u cant say that for a lot of other weapons unless its just done just right. bo is a great building block and has much practicality as well as versatility but it lacks the umph needed if u ask me.. a sword is much better for combat.

I work with numerous kobudo weapons and like them all pretty much the same (except the nunchauku...ARGH!), but I would have to say that the cane is my favoite, and I think the most versatile. Unfortunately, mine broke a few months ago and I've been cruising the thrift stores looking for a suitable replacement.

Yeah, I know there are numerous places on the net to buy them so don't post any links please. I'm just looking for a good, old second hand cane tht needs a new home.

the Kamas have always seemed really cool to me.

I remember when i started in martial arts watching Butch Togisala doing weapons forms with his Kamas I was just blown away.

I was torn between voting for the staff and the sai, as I like them both equally.

Shorinryu Sensei, don't take this the wrong way, but if you know someone who works at a nursing home you might want to ask if they have any extras. When residents "move on" the families usually don't want alot of the medical items that their loved ones leave behind, i.e. canes. The nursing home will usually keep them around for a while and then trash them, so it's a win-win situation. You get a good cane to use and the nursing home gets a little more storage space. Even though I am biased I think if I ever needed a cane to get around I would be happy to see a martial artist using it after I was done with it. Just my opinion, take it at that. :)
