Drunken Monkey Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 not sure yet. i'm trying to find somewhere that the girl i mentioned in the other thread hasn't been yet... right now, it's a tie-up between reykjavic (super cool land of fire+ice!) or lisbon/cascai/estoril (my old stomping grounds...). i wanna do something special before she moves back home all of 70 miles away. it's not far but i kinda feel like i'm gonna 'lose' her... y'know, she might not see me as anything other than a friend but i sure as hell aint gonna let her forget me! damn.... oh yeah, while i'm on an open mood, my first two interviews have gotten back to me saying 'no thank you....' got one more place to get back to me. in the mean time, i think it's time to start cold calling about the CVs i sent. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
aefibird Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Sorry to hear about the interviews Monkey. Hopefully you'll get a decent job soon! On the Lisbon/Reykjavic problem I'd suggest going to Reykjavic. I've been there and it is an amazing place in an amazing country. Be prepared to pay lots of money for everything, though. When I went, it was mega expensive. "Was it really worth it? HumanTyphoon Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 I have been reading a fantasy 5-book series called the Mallorean which is sequel to another 5-book series. Written by David Eddings, it's actually pretty good, tons of humor, irony, great war parts, action, drama, wisdom, and the very natures of man.
