Martial_Artist
La Ciudad de las Bestias is a young adult novel. I haven't read any of her other books, so I can't say. I just bought it two days ago. I know next to nothing about the author. So...can't say. Do her books come in english, or did you read the spanish? SaiFightsMS
I recently did a reread of Dune with a group and then read the next two Dune books and then sort of burned out on Dune.
battousai16
she was the niece of salvador allenede, the leader of chile in 197...3 i think, i'm ont sure on that. but there was a big military coup and she was exiled. so because her books tie in with history, we have to read her in school. and yes, i read them in english. Martial_Artist
Ah, a child of politics. My friend lived in Chile just after the time of Pinochet. Crazy stuff. RaidenTB
I haven't read them all.. Some of them sort of "disappeared" from the library I go to (so they must be good ). If you like the style of writing in Shogun, you'll probably like the rest of the books. Imagination is more important than knowledge.
