RONIN W Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 IF BRUCE LEE ,JACKIE CHAN,GICHIN FUNAKOSHI AND MORHEI UESHIBA WERE IN A TOURNAMENT WHO WOULD WIN? RONIN
BJJShotoshe Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 The wisest one. The one with more confidence and the one that studies or studied for the true art of it. Not to show it off in movies. Although they were and are very good martial artists and they look real good. shodan - ShotokanBlue Belt - Jiu-JitsuWhoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care the themself without that law is both. For wounded man shall say to his assailant, if I live I will kill you, If I die you are forgiven-- such is the rule of Honor.
Batman Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 well bruce lee would be a senior citizen if he were alive, FUNAKOSHI would be really scarry if he were alive, and jackie chan is just a comedian. i'd say, bruce lee in his prime
battousai16 Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 actually, i'd say it depends entirely on the event. i'm thinking bruce lee wouldn't do to well in a forms competition, y'know? "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
White Warlock Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 The one who has experienced the type of tournament and the rules involved. Tournaments are nice little test buckets, but they are not a one-all measure of a martial artist. Hell, a good dancer could do well in forms (Jet Li, Van Damme). Vito Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 i dont know who the people are after the first two... but lets get somethign straight here: jackie chan (as well as jet li and most people like him) can not fight. they have no idea how to fight. they do wushu, which, lets face it (at least for jackie chan) looks like * on camera even. id take on jackie chan any day and win- he doesnt know the first thing about real fighting. (acting too, but thats another story.) "If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared." -Machiavelli
Drunken Monkey Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 um.... jackie chan does not do wushu.... post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
aefibird Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 i dont know who the people are after the first two... Gichin Funakoshi is the founder of Shotokan Karate. Morihei Ueshiba is the founder of Aikido. Luckykboxer Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 regardless of Jackie Chans fighting skills, I bet he would one damn hard person to actually hit. That guy can maneuver and contort himself like no other person i have ever seen I dont think i would fear him in a fight, but i fear what my ego would take when i just happened to miss my 214th straight punch of kick and hes doing backspins and flips and chuckling, saying " lets be friends!"
