Wow! That's a lot of testing! ~Erin9th Kyu"Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft."~ Theodore Roosevelt
Rotten Head Fok Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 That is the most testing I've ever seen , but that's a good thing! You must be stable and balanced in your foot work, if you have to use your martial knowledge in combat, your intent should be to win. If you do strike, you must release great power! The martial arts are easy to learn, but difficult to correct.
XxpengwynxX Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 That is the most testing I've ever seen , but that's a good thing! LoL. Yea. It should take, I think, 4-8, or 6-8, years to get to black belt. But yea, it's defidently a good thing.

Drunken Monkey Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 er, should we ask how much you pay for a grading? post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
XxpengwynxX Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 pengwyn, how often (roughly) in your school do you test for a new belt or grade?2-3 months for the lower ranks. Longer once you get to purple and brown.
Ed Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 in my Dojo we have white, yellow, green brown, black and red. Simple yet each belt having requirements. Rather than having so many belts. So i kind of agree with Ravencroft. Think before you act it can save your life.......
