AngelaG Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Has anyone ever kiaied when they have a cold and are losing their voice? I did this once and it started off ok but then ended up as a strangled high-pitched squeak. Everyone just looked really shocked for a few seconds and then burst out laughing! June1 Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Hey, here's an idea! For those of you who can, why don't you actually record a kiai in .wav or .mp3 or something and post the URL here? That would be really interesting to actually hear it after reading the description. Kool Kiais: ICE! DIE! KITES! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHH! KIAI!"Know Thyself""Circumstances make me who I am."
ShotokanKid Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 I've heard people go like this: AAAEEEEE or UUHHHSSS or HHHAAA "What we do in life, echoes in eternity.""We must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men."
aefibird Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 There's a kid in my beginner karate class who must have the worlds loudest kiai. It's like a drawn-out scream, rather than a shout. I appreciate his entheusiasm...but my eardrums sure don't! "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My CologneSheffield Steelers!
