Topic Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 Everytime when we sarr and someone gets a good hit in he yells "ooo eyy" ? is it because thats what they do in Thailand when they get a good hit it? Also what does "len shin" stand for?
muaythaifreak Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 In lumpinee stadium whenever someone gets caught with a good technique, particularly knees and elbows, the whole crowd does that. It kinda pumps the fighters up. As far as len shin goes, I've never heard it before. Pain is temporary, glory is forever, and chicks dig scars!-=pain is weakness leaving the body=-If there's lead in the air, there is hope in the heart!
Luckykboxer Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 I can say as a kickboxer.... when you land a solid leg strike, of knee and you hear half the audiance yell out it pumps you that much more. Its an exclamation of appreciaiton... kind of like when at american boxing when someone lands a good punch everyone in the audiance goes... OOOOO There may be more to it then that but thats how i take it
Topic Posted June 24, 2004 Author Posted June 24, 2004 Yea thats what i though, anyway i think len shin means light sparring, or sparring with no gear but im not sure.
The-Muay-Thai-Kickboxer Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Yes thats what that means. Things do NOT work because someone says they do. They work because YOU can do them!
