Jazzstorm
Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone can give me some tips, pointers,or any advice on spin kicks? I have a bad knee, and they are alittle tricky for me. Thanks! Kyo Sa Nim in KSWCertified Personal TrainerHealth and Business Consultant
SBN Doug
If you have a bad knee, my first advice would be not to do them. They can build up a lot of torque on your knee, and do some real damage if it's already injured or weak. Kuk Sool Won - 4th danEvil triumphs when good men do nothing. Ironberg
Yep, your best bet would be to do them slowely thousands of times a day until your form is so perfect that your knee only suffers jarring problems when hitting things. tufrthanu
Well, heres the deal no matter what your knee is going to twist a little when you spin. Here are your best bets. First ALWAYS spin on the ball of your foot. You may need to do calf raises to get the strength to lift up at a moments notice to spin like that. Second you may want to do LIGHT exercises to help strengthen your knees. Squats, Leg Press, and Leg lifts are good ones. Use therapeutic weights. Long Live the Fighters! Ironberg
Also see a knee specialist (that is, if you aren't poor like I am).
