I just signed up, so hello first.

I have a question about Judo Gi's? Which would be a better buy for long term use the mizuno signature or that yawara one, and I can't seem to find a chart that gives me an idea about how much it will shrink in the wash, my tiger claw one went down about a full size from a 6 to a 5 will mizuno do that as well, sizing is my biggest problem i'm 6'0 220lbs with a 50+ inch chest. can anyone point me in the right direction to go?

Thank you

TKE

Hello and welcome to the forums, colinkelly!

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about Judo uniforms, so I can't help you there. Hopefully you'll get an answer soon.

For the time being, why don't you stop by the Introductions forum and introduce yourself?

I have a simialr problem.

I want a really tough well made gi for jiu jitsu, and atm i am having a tough time finding one..

I have a black one, but unfortunately i need a white one for the instructor i am currently training with.

I really like the Koral Kimono.

based on your measurements an A4 would be perfect size for you..

I tried one on and it was a little small.

I am 6'3" and 250 pounds, with a 54 inch chest

the Koral Kimono is about $110.00 US dollars.

and is available at https://www.koralusa.com

thats my suggestion,.... now of course i am basing this on the assumption that Judo and Jiu Jitsu gis are the same thing.

I do not have any experience with Judo so thats the best i can do.

my problem with the Kimono atm is that A4 is the largest size available that i can find...

It says there is an A5 but it isnt available /sigh

good luck

Happy to be here monkeygirl,

luckyboxer, mizuno and fuji gi's are the best hands down for jujitsu, I like mizuno personally, they have ones that are super soft but strong as steel, both the single and double weave are not that heavy(at least i think so) , they also have one I think its the Euro Comp thats made of a more rough feeling cotton but it has a lean cut to it, take a look its worth it.
