Hello, I am new to this forum and I am opening this thread so that people will have a better understanding of Kyusho Jitsu. I have been in DKI for a little while now and I am willing to take any questions pertaining to Kyusho Jitsu

I'll bite... what is kyusho jitsu, who created it, do you have his bio, how long has it existed, are you associated with any local, national or international associations, where is it taught, how much are the courses, what would you consider to be its strengths and weaknesses?

Kyusho Jitsu is pressure point fighting ( one second fighting) I study under T.A. Frazer A George Dillman student we have well over 100 schools world wide ( for more info on DKI https://www.dillman.com). Courses very depends on where you are at my classes run about $70 a month. The strengths of learning the pressure points is that anyone can be effective with them, the weakness of them is that a lot of people don't believe in them therefor you have to prove it to them.

Does Kyusho Jitsu solely rely on pressure points to subdue an opponent, or do you learn and apply strikes, throws, locks as well?

Well we use pressure points in everything we do with strikes, throws, and locks as it blends in well with everything you do in the Martial Arts. Most people use them without even knowing it.

I thought i recognized the name.

For that $70 a month, what do you get? How many hours, how many days, any private instruction, how big are the classes, etc?

For $70 you get four hours of instruction per week ( two classes )no private, but I am still new so right now my class sizes only run about 3 people.

I talked to a Brazillian Jiu-jitsu Black belt one time and he said he sparred a pressure point guy before. He told him he could do all his pressure points during the match. The Jiu-jitsu guy took him down and held him to the ground and then he said he could see these fingers slowly crawling up his shoulder trying to do a pressure point. He said it was a very funny sight.

looks a little... um... commercial...

in those teeny tiny videos from the website, why, after taking someone down, do a bunch of guys rush out and make him sit cross legged?

They're unconcious. "Chi attack"

I have a G R E A T vid of this stuff from another forum, I'll see if I can get it online and posted.

ppko: Have you been rendered unconcious like the guys in the videos? Can you perform techniques like that? Do you guys spar?
