sansoouser Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 What are some good martial arts magazines? The amateur shoots his hands out ferociously, but lacks any true power. A master is not so flamboyant, but his touch is as heavy as a mountain.
Draven Chen Zhen Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 "Dag Allemaal", but you can only get that in Belgium. I don't know any english magazines. :: Bless me father, for I have just killed quite a few men ::https://www.tricking.be
Pacificshore Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 They are far and few between. All the ones you see on the on the racks of bookstores are hit and miss. There was an English MA publication called Fighting Arts International, by Terry O'niell. That was a good magazine. I've heard that he's back now, and that you can suscribe to it via pdf format. Classical Fighting Arts, formerly Dragon Times, is another decent one if you want less advertisements, and more substance. In fact, CFA still carries some of FAI surplus magazines. I believe the website for CFA is https://www.dragon-tsunami.org . Check them out, it may be what you are looking for. Di'DaDeeeee!!!Mind of Mencia
aefibird Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Fighting Arts Internation is indeed back and as good as it ever was. You can get it from https://www.budopromotions.co.uk]here. Traditional Karate Magazine is available in the UK and that's generally a pretty good read, although stuffed with adverts. The other main UK MA magazines aren't that great, especially not UK Black Belt. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..."
