No implication was made towards any other arts, they are just simply the first ones to enter my head. Therefore, the comparison was made between those two. My point was that MT has inherent advantages over BJJ and vice versa. Nothing more was said or meant by it. Pain is temporary, glory is forever, and chicks dig scars!-=pain is weakness leaving the body=-If there's lead in the air, there is hope in the heart!

ckcko2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 There are styles out there that incorporate many other fighting arts. JKD is my favorite. It teaches grappling, shoot fighting, Kick boxing and weapons fighting. I have seen students who came into class and bragged that they were blue belts in Karate or some other martial arts. When it came to sparring they had no clue of how to defend themselves against a faint or Just a simple left hook or upper cut. It depends on the person themselves either they want to learn how to fight or they are just looking for a pretty belt to tell there friends I am this or that to impress them. Master Lee had the best philosphy "The best style is to have no style".
