TheDevilAside Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 Obviously neither of you have experienced American Kenpo ...ah I love the things I can get away with, as long as there's a smiley face at the end. Well, yes, congratulations to KK, I was wish there was a school nearby, it'd be neat to see how hard they train. "If you're going through hell, keep going." - Sir Winston Churchill
Mart Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 Dijita, half as cool humm, you got your fractions inversed, try twice as cool. So who did your KK guys fight, a bunch of one legged cripples? children perhaps, no, no dont tell me they were blind. All saying they do MT. they beat Remy, humm thats good. I think that fhilpo or whatever his name is KK guy and Remy are rivals that keep beating each other, if i remember correctly they have fought many times under K1. Seize the day!
Mart Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 http://www.so-net.ne.jp/*/k-1gp/top607.htm Maybe not long till KK steps into the MT ring???? Will be interesting, if they can do K1 then the MT ring is next on the list. Seize the day!
TJS Posted June 1, 2004 Author Posted June 1, 2004 So is it documented anywhere on the net (other than this post)? http://ko.sherdog.com/pictures/k1_053004/k1_01.htm Mart- If you noticed the main event featured one of the top thai boxers in K-1 getting taken to school by a Kyokushin fighter.
Mart Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 So does this mean KK guys are going to start learning to punch to the face? Or is proper punching reserved for the top few? Seize the day!
TJS Posted June 1, 2004 Author Posted June 1, 2004 So does this mean KK guys are going to start learning to punch to the face? Or is proper punching reserved for the top few? maybe you didint notice that 4 of the fights were uner K-1 rules....whitch allow punches to the head...
Treebranch Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 Good KK I like when things get stirred up a bit. It's healthy for all MA's. "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
Dijita Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 We do learn to punch to the face. We just don't punch to the face in our tournements because we fight without gloves, and if we punched people in the face without gloves... well there wouldn't be too many fighters left to fight in tournements. I agree though, that perhaps not applying our face strikes in tournements is probably a weakness, but I understand the reasons for it.
Fat Donkey Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 Actually D u hit\get hit harder with gloves than u do bareknuckled. U just end to get more cuts. Donkey
