White Warlock
... edited - my now-deleted comments would only have opened up a can of worms. To cut to the chase, the information provided on that website is incorrect. For resources on ninja/samurai history, examine these books: Ratti, Oscar and Westbrook, Adele. Luckykboxer
the whole samurai vs ninja debate reminds me a little of what the world faces today. Obviously in a much looser sense. seems there is a people in the world today willing to do whatever it takes to make a point with no regard to human life, and another groups of people trying to fight the first, but trying to do so with a code of honor and ethics. At some point the code of ethics has to be changed or you lose. Looks like the Samurai did that to deal with the ninja, dont be surprised if you see the same happening today.... funny how history repeats itself

WhiteBelt
I'm with the honor thing being made to keep the samurai in line. Anyway, who would you pick: the soldier that kills himself if he ever fails, or the guy who makes the samurai fail and goes home to his wife? Treebranch
Yeah the Ninja didn't follow the so called Bushido code, and that made them bad. Ha ha ha. White Warlock
Hehe, yeppers. And that makes us bad too. Then again, we could always adopt the Bushido code, and start hacking heads off of peasants we deem slighted us, because they failed to bow quick enough. Drunken Monkey
..yeah but if we follow the bushido code, that would mean having to obey word for word, whatever we are told to do by our 'superiors' or else we get our heads hacked off.... post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
